Our atoms came from stardust. When we die perhaps our atoms will become new stars again, a million years or so from now. The form changes: human, tree, water, star. The atoms do not disappear.
In this sense, our bodies live forever.
Brian Swimme tells us that we are the conscious form of the stars, so that the stars may gaze at their own beauty.
Re-recorded and re-arranged this song from a few months back.
On this day two years ago, my grandfather (Lolo Tabs) stopped being in one place and started being everywhere, always. ♥
MADE OF STARDUST
They say the body dies, they say
They say the body dies, they say
They say it’s just the soul, they say
They say it’s just the soul
That lives forever
Don’t you know the body lives forever, too
Don’t you know the body lives forever
Atoms change and rearrange
Become another
And my body remembers, it remembers
Don’t you know your body lives forever, too
Don’t you know your body lives forever
When I see the stars, I remember
When I hold your hand, I remember
Yes I tingle, and I ache
And I sing
And I dance, oh dance
Dance, oh dance
With my body made of stardust, and wanderlust
With my body made of stardust, and wanderlust
I remember I am here, now, always
I remember you are here, now, always
Now, always
Now, always
Remember when you were a star?
